Gratitude

Being home really puts gratitude into perspective for me. Really, I started feeling it before I even got home: having my parents at move out to help me was such a blessing. I couldn’t have imagined getting that all in order by myself.  And now that I am home (for more than a day this time!) I cannot express how thankful I am for this place. I’m in love with the ocean and the sunshine and the sand. I’m thankful for the fact that I have beaches to run away to and call happy places. Not having that at SCU was so tough for me! I’m also beyond blessed to come home to supportive and loving parents. “Gratitude is a valuable thing,” said one of my favorite high school teachers. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
